RESTORATION OF THE FRANKLIN WOODLAND TRAILS

Reclaim Our Park - this is a diamond in the rough!!

Studies have shown being outside and playing in nature is crucial for the healthy development of children.

It promotes creativity, improves hand eye coordination and the ability to learn. Reisterstown is fortunate to have a piece of property a   block from Main Street that is owned by the Baltimore County Department of Parks and Recreation. It has a system of trails that traverse a   small creek known as Norris Run. The bridges are in need of repair and the trails need some maintenance.

With some attention from our community, the Franklin Woodland Trails can be a selling point for Reisterstown. It has the potential to be a destination for family picnics and recreation. Since the park is so close to Main Street, families can shop and dine and then their children could play in our community green space afterwards.
